*Faithful Fostering provides Grab Bags filled with items children would need if they enter care with no personal items. These Grab Bags are housed in the DHHR offices, so they are easily accessible at any hour by the county workers when children are removed from unsafe situations.
INFANT GRAB BAG

Every Infant Grab Bag has clothes, toiletries, a blanket, books, a stuffed animal, bibs, hats, socks, diapers, and wipes.
SCHOOL-AGED GRAB BAG

Every School-aged Grab Bag has clothes, toiletries, a blanket, books, a stuffed animal, socks, underwear, book bag, and school supplies
HELP SURROUNDING DHHRs

We help to provide surrounding DHHRs with Infant and School-aged Grab Bags. To-date, we have provided Taylor, Preston, and Barbour County DHHRs with bags.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH

Faithful Fostering aims to spread awareness of the need to support local foster children, encourage and grow the foster parent community, and link potential and current caregivers to supportive resources. Kinship caregivers are encouraged to reach out to Faithful Fostering with questions about becoming a certified foster home, locating community resources (such as Birth to Three services or WIC benefits), and to connect with other foster caregivers.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

With donations from individuals and local retail businesses, the Closet provides small birthday celebrations to children in care. We aim to begin this service sometime after the beginning of the year should social distancing allow.
